Hi hi! My first blog post, long over due.
I've never read anyone's blog so I'm not really sure how these things are supposed to go, I just know that I often have a lot on my mind. wisdom well beyond my years that I sometimes don't even understand until a few years later when I come back to something I've said. So I've decided to start blogging, for you the viewer as well as my future self, should I become lost along the way as we humans tend to do.
Since this is my introduction to blogging, I think I should start by giving you a proper introduction, an introduction to a group that I joined last year by the name of "Annual Help a Noob 2012". It pretty much gives you insight to how I was, and how I am as a person. The type of people I respect and the type of people I avoid. Seeing as it's a bit lengthy, I'll wrap this introduction to the introduction up now. xD Enjoy! - SC

I was a proud noob. I don't know why. My friends were the ones who weren't having it though lol. I still to this day consider myself a noob because noobs don't take much serious, they are all about the fun..they have their dramas every now and again but they are usually short lived. They don't run around false flagging and doing the ignorant things a lot of VIP members tend to do when mad. Yes they have a little arguments..maybe a punching/slapping/stomping session but it's over after that xD but onto my story.
I started not too long ago in 2010. I wasn't even supposed to be here and fought so hard not to be lol I had always seen the IMVU ad's on my message boards that I frequented but never clicked. It wasn't until a friend of mine asked me to come on to imvu with her. She already had a registered ap account and knew me as a "pic maker" for people who roleplayed on rp websites and thought I'd like this site. So I joined and oh my God did I look horrendous. It was so bad. She pulled me in to meet her friends and it was that awkward moment when your good friend is a Guest_noob. I could feel the uncalled for prejudice so I didn't stick around long. I know when I'm not wanted..didn't want to be there anyway!
Not sure how, but I wandered into a public club..that had music :O and places to stand that let you dance! I thought this is neat. Met a lot of interesting people there as well and had a lot of fun.
This is when I lost my Noob Hopginity.
But..I also remember the first time people made fun of me for being a noob. Made fun of my black and white noob dress and boots with the yellow ankle heart bracelet. I believe I won that argument due to the fact that I was so used to trolling and speaking proper English before I came to IMVU, so I gladly traded step your avatar game up jokes for step your english language and actual funny jokes game up. Just one after the other, me verses a group of big booty girls with glitter, head signs, and LOL VB's that they oh so loved to spam after every single corny joke. This is why I don't like VB's or big booty hoes to this day. their boyfriends would chime in to crack jokes as well. I truly didn't understand the discrimination.

I was annoyed. But when annoyed I tend to make a joke out of what annoyed me to disarm it. I always do this. So what did I do? I started the Noob Nation! Only "Noobs" allowed, whatever that is! It was just a group for anyone who was ever discriminated against for having a Guest_ account. I found it funny. I'd enter rooms that said "no noobs" to find out what the definition of noob was.
"If I was here longer than you but dressed worse, does that make me a Noob? A lot of people from 2007 are being called noobs when they were here well before you :/"
"What if I provide better conversation than that person over there who has both AP and VIP but has absolutely nothing intelligent to say at all? Am I still the noob?"
and if things got out of hand, I'd just call in my noob nation to do what they do....hug and kiss unnecessarily, argue and create madness until we were all booted from the room if I wasn't booted already. While I entertained myself with this, I discovered there were these things called modeling agencies that would pay you to wear their clothes and I went "Wait..you mean I can get credits...AND clothes?" A hobo's dreeeeam! I was sooo in...or so I thought, as most devs have a hard time giving guest models a shot. Great.
At the same time, my friend was still trying to get me to update my look to please her friends, but I'm not a follower so I had a problem with that. If you can't accept me for me, then I don't want to be accepted. But I took her words into consideration and decided to get my look together. I finally spent my promo credits that I was clinging onto for dear life(I am cheap, shut up) and I spent it on a nice blue dress that came with matching heels in one fit, black hair, a smaller head and a skin that I still use to this day.

This is when I lost my Noob Swaqq-ginity....sorta.
..but I'm also nosy and and my friend wanted me to see some of her AP outfits. So finally I caved got AP while it was on sale. The IMVU staff must have liked me because with that AP came a name registry and age verification (even though my birthday is wrong, IMVU fails from the beginning)
With AP and a lack of Guest came a ton of random invites from the horn dogs. This was not the same IMVU I was used to seeing at all. O.O.
This is also when I found out that my friend owned a strip club and wanted me to be one of her strippers...really? This was what all of this was REALLY about? If I had found this out sooner, I probably would have stopped coming onto imvu all together, but I had already gotten new friends and new interests, like this whole modeling thing that I really wanted to know about first. So I went to an agency (small time) and they gave me a shot, even though I had a noob avatar and no poses, I guess they just really needed models and were willing to teach me everything I needed to know about the runway and purpose of a portfolio. This is where I learned that my pic making skills could go to great use with this IMVU thing. I started winning competition after competition. 1k here, a gift there, but it wasn't enough for me. They only paid the winner of the competition, and sometimes the outfit needed to win this contest would cost a whopping 2k to put together! Too rich for my blood!
So I left runway a lone and stuck to the editing contests. It was at this time that I got an invite to MzMomoHaze's Elite Haze Modeling, which truly opened my eyes to what the buzz about modeling was all about. I applied and was accepted. After we met and talked, I found out just how cool she and her husband really was. I was in a room with pro models and pro developers (and wasn't booted!) They were so cool and for the first time, I got a glimpse of down to earth developers. I don't know if she knows but I am forever thankful for everything she did for and taught me. I clearly wasn't in the same league as the other models, but she gave me a chance to grow and get better which is what nobody else was doing for this noob. gifted me outfits and avatars...pose packs so I could complete our photo shoots. It was with them that I was given my first ever dev assignment, a collection of advertisements for pro dev iMzNikki when I had NO ad experience. I wouldn't have trusted me with that assignment at all lol but they did.

This is when I lost my Noob Swaqq-ginity....officially.
Nikki loved it, so much that she asked for me to do the male collection as well. From there IssacHaze would hook me up with another pro developer by the name of Tapout, who I still work with from time to time when I'm not working on my own projects to this day.
I can't count the amount I've given away, from the credits to the noobs, to motivation for girls who want to, but have been shot down and lost hope in their own talents, to outfits and tips to budding models and developers alike simply because that's what was done for me when I needed the help. As I said, I am forever grateful to those who gave and still give to me, so in return I give to others ^.^

(TL : DR? Oh Okay.)
I was a noob, but now I'm not...or am I?
If it weren't for people who were already doing well without me giving me a chance, I probably wouldn't be here today. Though people may see me differently, I in many ways still consider myself a noob. For the longest time even though I had many new outfits, I always kept on my yellow noob bracelet. Just as a small reminder that we are all still noobs at something that we wish to explore in life, and would hate to be greeted upon that exploration with hate by those you strive to learn from or be around. I still get the evil eye from people who don't understand my love for my NOOBian Princes and Princesses xD not realizing that I treat everyone with respect as long as they are respectful of others as well, from the "Guest_" tag to the "Pro Dev" tag and everyone in between.
